Dr. Jared Kohler, is a genuine, dedicated, and caring chiropractor!
He’s a graduate of both the University of Florida (1992) and Life Chiropractic University in Atlanta (1999). He has received post graduate certification in Applied Kinesiology & Manual Muscle Testing through the International College of Applied Kinesiology, Advanced Certified Whiplash Biomechanics & Traumatology through the prestigious Spine Research Institute of San Diego and The Webster Pregnancy Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. He also has a special interest Upper Cervical Chiropractic and holds both a Board Certification in the Atlas Orthogonal Technique from Sherman College of Chiropractic and a Diplomate in Chiropractic Cranio-cervical Junction Procedures from Palmer College/ICA.
Dr. Kohler takes a holistic and personalized approach to chiropractic care. He customizes his treatment plans to meet the needs of each patient, incorporating gentle spinal, cranial, and extremity adjustments, manual muscle testing, spinal traction, neuromuscular rehabilitation, functional evaluation, postural awareness and self-care exercises. He excels at helping people recover from automobile accidents and work-related injuries; eliminate headaches, neck pain, and back pain; recover from athletic injuries and enhance athletic performance.
Dr. Kohler believes chiropractic care should extend beyond the office visit. For this reason, he takes the extra time to learn about his patients’ habits and lifestyles and offers creative strategies they can use at work and home, including stretches, core strengthening exercises, and relaxation techniques to get better faster and stay well longer! Patients also have access to Dr. Kohler via phone & email for after hours consultation and guidance.
Dr. Kohler is an active member of the Washington State Chiropractic Association, International College of Applied Kinesiology, Sweat Institute for Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic, The International Chiropractic Association Council for Upper Cervical Chiropractic, The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and the Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce. He is dedicated to refining his clinical skills and attends numerous conferences throughout the year on upper cervical chiropractic, applied kinesiology, whiplash & spinal trauma, spinal rehabilitation, functional neurology, nutrition and exercise to learn cutting-edge research and treatment methods. He is one of 3 doctors in Washington State to have attained his Diplomate in Chiropractic Cranio-cervical Junction Procedures (DCCJP). The DCCJP is a 300-hour advanced training that takes a deep dive into upper cervical spinal biomechanics, neuroanatomy, neuro-physiology, advanced imaging, chiropractic diagnostic and corrective techniques, outcome assessments, and upper cervical research review and research writing.
A physical enthusiast, Dr. Kohler is actively building his forest fitness routine, inventing exercises and movement routines, hanging on his inversion table, and hiking and biking around Orcas Island, the Gem of the San Juans.
